One Stop Beach Shop is the result of a need we have identified for a single, easy to use source for all things related to holidays and travel. As busy professionals and seasoned travelers ourselves, we know how frustrating and time-consuming it can be to gather together all those travel essentials for a trip. Even shopping online!
We have done all the leg work so you don't have to, and brought our ever expanding range of tried and trusted travel and holiday products all under one virtual 'roof', to provide an easy, quick and dependable service at OneStopBeachShop.co.uk.
The Team at One Stop Beach Shop consists of three beach babes and one beach bum - hopefully he won't be reading this! David, Diane and Sandra have worked together for more than 25 years beginning their working life with a local Textile Agent. Just ten years ago, with colleague Trevor, the group branched off on their own and after various adventures, find themselves running a successful online retail business. A recent move to larger premises has meant lots more space for OneStopBeachShop and an increase in the variety of products we can now offer.
What better way to spend our days than thinking about travel, holidays and relaxation in the sun? And we hope that we can help you plan and prepare for your richly deserved holiday break.
Meet the Team
Not convinced that the world was ready for true life pictures of our staff, we asked everybody to think of the fictional character that best describes their personality - the results were interesting...
Sandra - Mrs Goggins
Often to be found at the end of the 'phone when you ring OneStopBeachShop, Sandra doesn't just multi-task she maxi-multi-tasks, leaving the rest of us behind in the dust wondering what just happened. And Mrs Goggins is of course an expert on all things to do with the Royal Mail.
To relax at the weekends Sandra and her husband climb mountains and walk huge distances for fun. Sandra's favourite holiday destination is Mexico but is just as happy in a caravan in the Lake District - complete with walking boots and map of course. Sandra would like to add that she is much younger and better looking than Mrs Goggins and rather more dynamic!
Diane - Jessica Rabbit
Diane's meticulous attention to detail has helped to ensure the high levels of customer satisfaction we have achieved over the years. A young family still take up much of Diane's out of work time, but she is an accomplished singer and has worked in several musical productions in provincial theatre. Diane is well known as a champion of lost causes, primarily in her support for Burnley Football Club.
Although widely travelled, the perfect holiday spot for Diane and family is, without question, Robin Hoods Bay in North Yorkshire.
Karen - Tigger
Generally an ideas person, Karen arrives, has a good idea or two, gets things started and then leaves, hoping that the rest of us will complete the task at hand. Karen acts as Company Secretary - which seems to involve: generally being cheerful, encouraging and occasionally muttering about risk assessments and insurance. Karen says that she loves holidays but hates packing so OneStopBeachShop provide everything she needs without the shopping...and her favourite holiday destination? " ...anywhere with a beach, a sun lounger and a Gin & Tonic at sundown".
David - Hector
Our Director, David, having wandered into a post as a yarn salesman in 1981, still maintains that he doesn't know what he wants to do when he grows up! Early in his career he gained the nickname Hector from the late 1960's character in 'Hector's House', '...rather grumpy but eccentrically British' sums up David so well.
David's passions are music and Ballroom Dancing and he can look very classy when he takes to the floor; Foxtrots, Quicksteps and big band sounds fill his out of work hours.
Favoured holiday destinations for David are all found in Italy, usually involving museums and sites of great archeological importance, along with regular trips to North Yorkshire and the East coast.
