Safesea™ is a unique repellent lotion, developed to help protect against the stinging of most Jellyfish*, Sea Nettle, Sea Lice and Coral.

How does Safesea™ work?

Safesea™ contains unique, patented ingredients that deactivate the jellyfish stinging mechanism. Applied on skin before going in to infested waters, it helps to protect against most jellyfish, Sea Lice, Sea Nettle and Coral.

What is a Jellyfish Sting?

Physical contact between exposed human skin and jellyfish tentacles activates tens of thousands of stinging cells; these cells inject poison in to the skin, creating, pain, rash and redness.

  1. Stimulation from the skin initiates discharge process.
  2. Pressure is built in the capsule.
  3. The shaft drills a hole in the skin.
  4. A tube follows the shaft and injects poison in to the body.

Clever development has enabled anti sting action to be combined with sun protection factors making this product perfect for holidaymakers, divers and swimmers alike.

Where in the world am I most likely to be stung by a Jellyfish?

You may be under the impression that it is only foreign waters that attract Jellyfish; in fact the beaches of Australia, Southeast Asia, the French Riviera and the Adriatic Sea are all infested with Jellyfish every summer.

Even the coastal waters surrounding the UK are filled with Jellyfish that can give the unsuspecting bather a nasty sting.

SPF 30 + Safe Sea ™ Kids- Dermatologist Tested, for Sensitive Skin

Also available (without sun protection factors) Safe Sea™, Jellyfish and Sea Lice Safe Lotion for Divers and Surfers. Safe Sea™, is waterproof but it is recommended to re-apply after prolonged swimming.
